Regular group coaching programmes
Juniors from 5 years old
All sessions are grouped by ability. More advanced is generally aged 11-15 but based on assessed ability.
Saturdays: 9 - 11am. All year round, term time only.
Beginners 9:00 -10:00am
More advanced 10 - 11am.
Wednesdays: 4 - 7pm. All year round, term time only.
Beginners 4 - 5pm.
More advanced 5 - 6pm
Performance group 6 - 7pm generally for teenagers with more advanced ability.
The lessons last for an hour and cost £6 per session for members and £8 for non-members, paid termly in advance. If any sessions are cancelled due to bad weather these will be credited to the following term.
If you would like to come along and see if it is something you and your children are interested in, our coaches will be able to assess their ability and group accordingly.
Tennis camps are arranged for Juniors on selected days during the school holidays. These have been extremely popular in recent years and have been very well attended.

Adults:
Mondays 8-9am and 9-10am all levels
Wednesdays (out of season) 7- 8pm all levels and 8 - 9pm for more advanced juniors and adult team members.
Places are limited and pre-booking is required.
Members £6, non-members £8 per session.
Periodically, the Club offers short courses for players of all abilities on doubles tactics and strategies.

Coaching Qualifications
There are also opportunities to train and qualify at first level of tennis coaching. Financial help to juniors wishing to undertake coaching courses is available but is subject to Head Coach approval.
Background
Mark Franklin is an experienced LTA Accredited Level 4 Senior Club Coach. Mark is a former two times Durham and Cleveland County SinglesTennis Champion and represented the county in mens doubles competition at national level for 20 years until his retirement from competitive tennis. Mark is a full-time tennis coach and is experienced in coaching both juniors and adults, groups and individuals. His portfolio of clients in North Yorkshire includes a number of schools, members of other tennis clubs and venues, as well as many private individuals including juniors playing at high levels. Mark lives in North Yorkshire with his partner and their one child. When not coaching tennis, Mark enjoys enduro and other off-road motorcycling, playing hard rock guitar and snowboarding.
